Our Social Skills group is what children need to fill that missing component seen so often in children: socialization with a peer. Children need to be taught sharing, turn taking, self-regulation and communicating with peers.
Our Speech Therapy program helps develop language skills for socialization for everyday life. Allowing your child the time to explore their imagination through play builds skills in: sequencing, problem solving, language, cognition, and storytelling.
Through play, your child will learn all the skills necessary to be a kid. The jumping, climbing, skipping, hopping, coloring, cutting, shoe tying, handwriting skills that your child needs to be successful. Our OT program utilizes the Handwriting Without Tears curriculum.
Our feeding group is designed to introduce food in a fun and playful way. We are trained in the SOS (Sequential Oral Sensory) approach which introduces food through exploration and touch even before taste. This introduces food in a non-threatening and non-stressful way.
“My son Maxwell is 3.5 years old and has been going to Body Language for about a year now. He has had both individual and group therapy weekly in Speech and OT. Jamie and Roseanne are very knowledgable and great to work with! They go above and beyond to help you with anything they can. They have worked with us on moving appointments, the never ending insurance issues, and guided us in the right direction for proper services for Maxwell. Most of all, they provide a very caring and nurturing environment for the kids. My son has made tremendous progress since working with Jamie and Roseanne and looks forward to therapy each week. So happy we found Body Language!”
“Our experience at Body Language has been so great. Roseanne and Jaime are awesome! Their patience, kindness, support and knowledge have been so helpful for my son. We have seen a huge difference in our son since he has been going to Body Language. We feel grateful to have found them”
“Our 4 year old son has always been a happy boy; smiling and laughing with mommy and daddy, but he could never tell us what was going through his head. Now, thanks in large part to Roseanne and Jamie (or JaimeRoRo as our son calls them) he has become interactive with other children and is able to verbally express himself for the first time in his life! We are so fortunate to have found Body Language Therapy Center. Thank you JaimeRoRo.”
